Norwood has a great Facebook page with current info on covid-19 for the town and they have -together with the Neponset Chamber of Commerce- organized Weekends on Central-closing a street next to the town common for public outdoor dining space to enjoy the good weather and keep the restaurants in business. There are lots of restaurants in Norwood – Though it has no central shopping area such as a mall, it is just 10 minutes to Dedham and not far from Foxboro with great shopping and home to the Patriots! Most locals know the auto mile is what Norwood is noted for on Rte. One.
Norwood does have a 2-runway airport, a commuter rail into Boston, a doll house museum, a downtown theatre with live music and a classic gazebo on the town common. It’s a pretty town, family friendly, dense suburban feel with lots of parks and an active senior center called the Norwood Council on Aging.
